About Me

Hey-o! How are you? I hope you're having a lovely day, and I'm so happy you decided to stop by! This will a somewhat one-sided conversation, but you can always leave questions and comments below (if you feel so inclined).

My name is Lindsi, and this is actually my second attempt at book blogging. I ran a blog called Books, Sweets and Other Treats when I was in college, but I stopped when I had kids. I was a new mom, babies are hard, and time became more precious than gold. At the time, I thought that chapter of my life was over, and I never expected to come back to blogging, but here I am! I missed it too much, and not just the blogging. Yes, I love to share my thoughts on books, but I really missed the bookish community. I've met some of my best friends through blogging, and we still keep in touch today. Now I'm making new friends!

I have three children now, all under the age of 5, and two of them are twins. My life is still hectic, but I make it work. I try to make time for myself, and reading is something I've always been passionate about. If it means staying up after everyone's asleep, that's fine. Totally worth it! I'll snuggle up with a dog or two (my husband tells me to keep my cold feet to myself), and read until my book falls on my face (which is preferable to my iPad -- ouch!).

Simply, I love reading. I enjoy sharing that love with other people that feel the same way. We don't have to like the same books, and I think it's better that we don't. There are sooo many books out there, and they all need to be read by someone!

Things I've started on this blog:
I make all of my own buttons, and I love to share! If you see one that you like, take it! You don't even have to ask. 😁 Also, if you need something specific, I would be happy to help. You can email me at doyoudogear(at)gmail(dot)com.
